The DeMarion Sankofa Foundation is united by and driven by a desire to give back to the Aberdeen, MS community.
Academic Scholarships
Launched in 2019, this program targets graduating seniors from Aberdeen High School who display academic excellence and plan on majoring in a field of study where they will be of service to others.
Community Service Grants
Launched in 2020, this program targets those individuals and/or organizations in Aberdeen who are leaders and are serving the local community in order to positively impact it and effect positive change within it as well.
Young Entrepreneur Grants
Launched in 2022, this program targets young entrepreneurs (ages 25 and under) in Aberdeen and provides grants to offset business startup costs and/or business expenses.
Financial Assistance Grants
Launched in 2023, this program targets individuals and families in Aberdeen who are in need of assistance with rent/mortgage, food, utilities, childcare expenses, seasonal clothing, etc.
